Does This GC Centennial Look Legit?

The only GC I would trade mine for is a Centennial in this colour.

However, the wording of the ad being a trade sale with no warranty, lack of photos and detailed description a non—specialist seller and that it’s never been MOT’d as yet despite being overdue is ringing alarm bells. Am I being paranoid? I would get it properly inspected prior to purchase but don’t want to waste my time if it’s a dodgy lemon

Not a great advert at all... reads like a thousand quid runner. But.. the trader gets good reviews from around the interweb .. a good start

That car is not in the trade clearance category and is able to be financed and have extended warranty.. just seems out of their league. the next most expensive car they have is 20k.

Still got to be worth a look, stunning car..

Some of those reviews are quite old, and the newer ones share a certain lack of facility with the English language ;)

I looked at google reviews, you are right bit of a mixed bag.. and that car seems out of place for that garage... but if it was local I would still take a look at it 2 owner car with the last owner since March 2019.

If you look at their website it says its "directors demo car" just a thought it may be their directors car and he changes every 3 years and moves it to stock. It was due an mot and tax at the start of the first lockdown and not been sorn either. Do traders have to sorn a car in stock ?

Worth a phone call at least there may be a simple explaination. Has it been advertised since march time or is it a fresh on the market car ?

Looks suspect to me.

It's not taxed, but parked on the road.
Trader but no premises.
No description of the car just blurb about it being sold as seen and £249 admin fee.
There's outstanding finance on it too.

If you call up and they say that they've had a lot of interest but please come with £10k as a deposit say OK, make an appointment. Then call the police.

I dunno. Maybe they just lucked into it. The Bentley I was going to buy was well out of place in a lot full of Minis but they were nice as pie and perfectly straight up as far as I could tell. I certainly would have bought it if the stars had aligned otherwise.

But, well.....

Well we all start somewhere, clearly an old Texaco petrol station, rented out but premises nonetheless. I sit corrected.

They also have a magic garage. Approach from the road opposite and they have no stock.

But approach from the road its on and they are fully stocked.

Im sumising that it is or was the garage owners car from the registration plate.

Im not sure he always dresses like that though looking at the google images from the sales lot.

Well the empty garage was 4 years ago, so....

Good shout on the plate

The images are knitted together on street view so it literally changes from empty to full as you move up old road onto hale street. Just one of those strange street view quirks.

Although it's not blue, if I was in the market for a GranCabrio MC, I'd be starting with this....

Well priced and a main dealer that I know well, they are good guys and very thorough etc. I wouldn't pay 10k more for a couple of wheel centres and different door sills.

Lovely but not a Centennial and not blue. That’s the only spec and colour (and with the white leather) that I will sell mine to replace.

Thanks for all the comments. I will give them a call re all the suspicious or odd stuff and see what they say and if they will agree to a specialist inspection. Caveat emptor as always.

If you do go and see it you may find william not in his shirt and tie. He appears to be working his lot in this picture.

You never know if it has been his pride and joy for 3 years you may have just found a decent car that hasnt sold before as its in a strange location that has put others off.

If the cars right and the price is right thats the main things ticked off. You can probably overlook the premises after that and get on with buying the car that you want.

Would be worth giving Mathew at Giallo a call.
He may know of the outfit/owner and possibly the car.
They're closed till next week though.
