Engine ECU upgrade for Ghibli GT II and Quattroporte IV

Hello fellow classic Maserati enthusiasts !
A few years ago the engine ECU of my Ghibli GT just snapped right after MOT and after diagnosis... well, R.I.P. it was dead.
No parts available or maybe second hand ones that would probably just snap one not to distant day as well.
I didn't like the idea of throwing money at a used part that I perceived as a ticking bomb.

Long story short, please have a look at the two attachments to see what was done to solve the problem long term.

3 cars have already benefited from the upgrade and for myself, it provides great peace of mind, 300hp to the wheels, cleaner emissions & less fuel consumption.

Thanks for your time !

This is good news for those afflicted.
How much would something like this cost? I don’t own a Ghibli II (I’d obviously like to, hence me hanging around here), but I own a 147 GTA. Their ECUs are known to fail and replacements are £2000 or unavailable. How much would one of these be for that? How does it go about happening?

Hi there and thanks for the interest.

The research and development of the kit are the real cost which then theoretically gets broken down depending on how many cars get the kit fitted if you see what I mean.
We haven't done any other kits for other cars, sorry.
If you know of 10 other owners, then perhaps Custom Import Arts would develop another kit

Currently the minimum price of the "Do it Yourself" kit that is available varies as certain cars need more of this or less of that
So the 2000 GBP threshold will be exceeded for sure but not by much ;-)
