With Only 45 days to go to the Bahrain GP, I thought it was time for a pre season ramble,
I know, I know...it's early...but I couldn't wait :D

Here are a few selected snippets...

2011 Rule Changes...
In - Moveable rear wings, new tyre supplier, return of KERS, 107% qualifying rule, clampdown on long working hours.
Out - F-Duct, double diffuser, team orders,
Gearboxes to last 5 races now instead of 4.

Teams...
Ferrari...
Unveil their new machine on Friday 26th jan at Maranello, called the F150 to celebrate
150 years of the unification of Italy...on the 17th march 1861, national unity was proclaimed in Turin, which became the first capital of Italy.

Mercedes...
Their new simulator will not be ready until the 2012 season,
How will this affect Mr Schumacher...

Lotus...
No sign of a resolution to the row over the use of the Lotus name in F1, so they go to a full trial starting on the 21st March...Yes, after the season begins!

Testing...
Pirelli tyre tests conducted on 19-20 Nov 2010 in Abu Dhabi,
all 12 teams were present over the 2 days...and who got to the top of the time sheets?
step forward Mr Massa :D

Testing, testing...
The show starts to warm up on the following dates:
Feb 1 - 3 Valencia
Feb 10 - 13 Jerez
Feb 18 - 21 Barcelona

Strap yourselves in...it's going to be a fantastic season :D

F150, isn't that some sort of Ford pickup truck? I just hope the Italian version is a bit quicker!

you call the F1 cars of today beautiful, they are horrid, i cant stand anything about F1 now, people say last season was good, thought it was just as boring, o.k, there were a few drivers fighting for the championship but where were those fights on the track. This is what you call an F1 car, no stupid horrible wings and fins, just 100% driver and not like it is today, 90% car, 10% driver.

it is a wing yes, but how many other fins and wings are attached to it??? none. Look at the front of that Ferrari, it is ghastly, this aero stuff has got way out of hand.

Adam, you are fighting a loosing battle with me and Enzo on this as you either have F1 in you blood or you don't....Yes, some of the older cars are far better looking but these are in other ways. Lets face it there were some shockers way back as well. What about the ones with high wings at the back and front and the ones with 6 wheels...Bad looking cars in every generation...
