Mondial was off my radar, actually looks quite good now, who-da thought it! Better a 308 GT4 though as said before.

Always not buying a mint Dino 246 for £35k back in the day, but I digress...

you will never get a 246 Dino chat cheap now Lewis, they are worth 70k onwards.

To my lasting regret, you're absolutely right Adam :(

Bigger regret. Year 2001, I have the choice between one of the very first Tuscan S's from Blackpool, brand new, made to measure for me. Or a DB5 for the same money. I took the TVR, which would now be worth £15k... the DB5 would be worth £250-300k!

Looked at the quotes for DB5 or DB6 restorations lately Frank , 'll i send you a spoon to get that lump out of your throat when you have , thier mega extortionate but still a good profit to be had

Had a mate that had one back in the late 80's he paid £16K for it then as a runner ,had it restored costing £30K and by the early 90's he couldn't justify having a car that was worth twice as much than his house , so he sold it for £130K and ran for his life

bloody nora lewis, you should have bought the db5, but the Tuscan, god that is a sexy car.

Yeah, I was 25yrs old at the time and what more could I want than a brand new Tuscan. Thought the Aston was a bit old mannish. Just liked it because of James Bond and so on. But now that I am an old man, I'd love it! At that money, it's too scary to drive and I dread to think what insurance would be...

Tuscan took me to Le Mans in 2001 and 2002 when it was still a rare car, deathbed memories of maxing out down the Mulsanne Straight at midnight and 200m wheelspins for the crowds outside the campsites. Ah, happy days :)

A good job on the sills for a DB4/5/6 is about £45k. But If I had only paid £45k for it and it had septupled in price, I could cope with that!
