the car in general and service Im all happy with, its more down to the details now to make sure its right for resale later on and anything before I transfer over a chunk of cash is right.

but I do like the roar... and driving the porsche home yesterday realised that in comparison it was very German...

The Red highlighted badge was never an option and should have been on your car from new...Are all three badges (front grill and two side tridents) without the red? If so that is very very strange as they should all have the red bits. If the front one is the only one without the red then yes it could have had a respray or front end repair and the garage used the wrong badge but if all three are without the red then that would indeed be odd!

It's not a big deal but if this was my car I would want to know why it has incorrect badges :) Good luck with your investigations and do keep us informed...

No idea about any of it! FWIW my GranTurismo brochure shows the GTS (non auto) having red on the nose badge but not the C pilar badges. I wonder if various owners have resorted to after market options or whether the factory just fitted whatever was in the cardboard box in the finishing shop?

The other thing is that various features do change from one model year to another, for example the GTS Auto grill is black from launch in mid 2009 through September 2011 production then chrome until the GT Sport introduction in September 2012.

The GS LE has red inserts in the trident badges, but the paint can wear off..!! It's easy to get a bright red touch up stick and redo them..!!

The red inserts can disappear after jetwashing. I've replaced mine with red enamel paint and a steady hand.

Sounds like they are a nice italian job then, come off on jet washing...

MOT done today all good, goes into Gray Paul tomorrow for warranty work and full check over before collection.

Could have been polished off by a zealous detailer.

COuld have just not been put on a the factory...Seen others without.....If they were short that day they probably just put on normal ones..After all this is the Italians we are talking about..

Yep by the sounds of things its not German... basically its ok, nothing to stress about. Either paint them on again with some red enamel and be careful on the jet washing... :)

Small affair as everyone said, would be good to know why they are not red but no big deal as the chaps on here certainly know their stuff so must have A) Come off due to washing or B) Never put on at the factory (makes me wonder what else my car is missing :D under the lines ) - what is a big deal though is the car - you are going to love it and it will make your Porsche memories obsolete.... Do post pics when you get it :D:D:D
