They need this to make it work but dealership groups won't invest unless they see sales and you then get stuck in a circular argument and no one gets traction. Look at Alfa Romeo over the last three or so years in the UK, a nice range of cars but limited sales volume. Maserati will be the same, unfortunately.
The reason I say this is that having driven a couple of them the Levante is a really good car in its space but it does not sell. The Grecale will be the same...unless they price it well and include a five year service pack in the price. However, they will price it high still charge a lot for servicing and then after a couple of years of sales not meeting forecast start filling the dealers up with unordered stock that they need to offer at £15-20k under list to move. This just makes buyers suspicious so they have a test drive followed by a nice espresso on a cream Italian sofa and say bye and go and get a 'Porsche' built in a VW factory.
