would love to see some pics. The 037 IMO is regarded as the lost Lancia, know one really seems to remember it or talk about it as much as the Stratos or 'Grale.

I assume like the Montecarlo the body shape was designed by Pininfarina.
I compared my Monte with the 037 and about the only thing that looked the same was the door handles!

Don't forget the Delta S4 either. That was the first supercharged turbo motor in a car. A very quick car from the old school.

Oh for the days of glorious excess! I used to watch the RAC in the good old days of 5 day, and night, blind rallys. Fire spitting monsters with too much horse power and not enough grip. Even the Quattro struggled to get it down. Sideways everywhere and occasionally backwards. Great fun to watch.

Agree on this one Ian.......Group B was indeed fantasy rallying of the old skool type.......hate when they over and endlessly regulate!

Night stages in Killer Kielder with those monsters passing at very high speed whilst you were walking up the track. Unbelievable! Those stones certainly stung when they hit you. H&S would have kittens today. Consequently, it will never be allowed to happen again. Unbelievable.

And that Frank, is the tragedy. Such good fun, me and a mate followed it for the full 5 days. We watched every other stage so we could keep leap frogging the leading cars. 1800 miles in 5 days; living off chips and sleeping while the other one drove. Fantastic!

They did indeed Frank. However, sleeping in a car is still just as uncomfortable as it always was!
