Wow I'm only getting 7000 miles out of rear tyres. Just about to bin my second set. Fronts last at least twice as long FWIW.

I was originally going to use my supplying dealer 200 miles away but they couldn't give me a loan car as they would need to collect my car whilst delivering another customers car on their covered truck. Their price took the extra miles into the equation which was fair enough but they were pretty upfront and said I'd be better off trying a local dealer. So I rang around and Colchester seemed the best option.

Roger102 - did they scratch your paint?

Argh, got ya now.
I've been using them, and other than a blip when a member of staff left and it meant I was stuck in the middle of a ****-up, I've been impressed.

That's not the chap who I was referring to,was he office based?
I won't mention the name of the office guy who left, but he was only there for 3 months or so in the middle of this year, but managed to give me the wrong end date of my warranty ( a month late) and it appears somehow omitted to order the right amount of trim pieces that were peeling, and I'm still waiting. I'm now sweating that if anything is found on the ( now out of date) end of warranty inspection, who will be stumping up.
As I said previously, the dealership are trying to rectify, and as in all these instances, it's not what goes wrong, but how well it's put right.

There is a bit on confusion on Maserati warranties as they start the day the car has it's pdi and as the dealer cannot get comeback on Maserati Italy unless anything is picked up at the pdi which has to be done within a few days. The upshot is many cars have warranties which expire well before three years after registration.

This was the extended one, and the chap booked in the inspection for a month after it ran out!!

Yeh, but the extended ones still start when the factory ones expire so the effect can be the same if the service advisor is not familiar with the brand.

Ah, right. I might know who you mean. Ian was one of the service managers and the predecessor of the guy who I think you are referring to. Absolute star. Knew Masers inside out and loved them.

Hope you get that mess sorted. Lancaster is very good at customer service. I'd imagine they'd do the decent thing if they can.

Owens did and then mopped it so now it looks like a giant hologram.

Hi Deltona,
Welcome to the forum and a lovely car indeed. You need to wash your garage floor though, all those scruffy tyre marks on it, somebody is slipping up..!!

Cheers
