That’s good to hear. Take it a easy.
I’m on the mend too. Bypass, valve replaced and a pacemaker inserted 10 days ago.
Feeling pretty good but get tired easily. Need to build up my stamina- early days.
Best.

That’s some ride you’ve been through but glad your through what I’m guessing was the worse of it.
Baby step and get back to full health!

That’s a beautiful “red” on your car. Has to be an expensive extra I would have thought?
I'm not sure to be honest. I bought this as an ex demo. Its called Rosso Energia and they don't do it anymore..

Good to hear you are on the mend, take your time getting your energy levels back, it's easy to over do it ( don't ask how I know)

Kamikaze maybe worth a look at, some big detailers are using it more

Gtechniq is a good product, CSL / Exo is the best combination.

if you want to save some money, maybe look at Kamikaze or Gtechniq applied by a non-accredited detailer, you could save about £300+ They just can’t apply the ultra version of the base coat.

look forward to seeing some pics...
I have had Kamikaze applied on 2 of my GTS by professional. I have not tried crystal serum before so I can’t compare, but results of Kamikaze after paint correction was excellent, very happy with the results, and will keep going back for more!

Fellas we’re enjoying our new Velar First Edition so much that it’s probably a keeper. My Mrs is as smitten as me.

Now, I’m already sold on “Ceramic” coatings as our old Merc was done from factory so I’ve seen the benefits, hence my inquiry today to our local accredited Gtechniq guy.

10H ceramic
1 day to apply (comes to us), full wash, clay bar- paint prep etc (interior protection also applied to seats etc- another positive given they’re ivory) all for $1500.......around £830. Around 5hours to complete- 9 year warranty.

They also do a 9h Ceramic for 2/3rds the cost with a 5 year warranty.

Seems pretty good value to me, anyone any other suggestions or should I just pull the trigger and if so on the 10h or 9h?

I’m tempted for the 10 and am pretty confident it’ll get the best out of the “Silicone Silver” paintwork - which is already pretty spectacular.

Having ‘pulled the trigger’ and subsequently posted, I can only assume you survived. Next time, make sure the gun is pressed tightly against your head. If then you survive, I can only assume that what they say about SUV drivers is true.

Not a bad deal for that Wattie, huge amount of paint acreage then. And well done on going off road straight after knowing that the paint is protected, a go.

Previous owner had it done on my GT and it still looks good.

Ah good timing Wattie. I've been offered this at a good price along with a correction detail after the crow incident.

Can't believe you haven't needed to wash it for 6 months!

I usually do mine every 3 weeks in summer and a bit more often in winter. I wonder how it would hold up to that.

How are the rest of you Crystal Serum users finding it?
Honest opinions please.
Worth the outlay?
Would you do it again ?

@Sam McGoo - I had my GS done almost two years ago and would definitely do it again...

it wasn’t cheap but it’s held up brilliantly on mine, and still makes it incredibly easy to wash and get looking spotless...

Mine was done last August so about 10 months now
Everytime I wash it it looks like brand new and its just been polished. Water still beads on it. Very happy with it.
I dont wash it that often Id say around every 3 or 4 weeks.
Unfortunately Maserati dealer washed the car when it was in for service despite me requesting them not to on several occasions. Luckily doesnt seem to have done it any harm (they say use only pH neutral shampoo)
