Haha, just joshing P. Don't need any apologies from you my hirsute friend.

Anyway, to get this back on track for Techboy's sake......

Techboy, I'm chuffed the ride prompted you to join the forum and to urge you towards Maserati ownership. They really are the most engaging motor cars.

Take a look through the details on the forum, ask as many questions as you need and I hope you do indeed find a Trident with your name on it.

That seems to be the case. I never owned an Alfa but always lusted after a Sud, ideally the Green Cloverleaf. After that I yearned for a GTV2000 after a friend got one - still one of the prettiest cars ever made, in my opinion. The twitchings of lust returned when I looked at the Alfaporn thread earlier... Dangerous!

I may have missed some :)

Transaxle or FWD, dem? I forget.
I confess the FWD was not my favourite, although Mrs Catman rather liked it.

There seemed to be a huge difference in build quality between Mrs Catman's GTV and my 156 / GT that I was driving at the time. Ditto twixt the GTV and her 147.

I don't get this. Both the 156s and the GT were a match, in terms of build, of anything I've been in, except maybe the 4200.
Maybe I'm looking at the wrong things.
