Good job I can't afford one as I really have looked into all this stuff the last few weeks and still none the wiser.

You going new then Dicky!? Blimey.

I'd love, love, love to be in the position to buy new.

Speaking of which, BigBob....congrats on the new car. Can you post some pics up - be nice to see a 61 plate Maserati.

Delighted too once I get them off the camera mate. It's on a private plate mind so takes away the 61 rarity.

Hi All

Collected the car this morning, done a couple of hundred miles in her already. Totally blown away. I can't stop smiling and keep wanting to keep the windows down to hear the noise, my son thinks I've gone mad!

Went through Dartford Tunnel on way home and the noise was just stunning.

Think I have regressed to being a kid, is this what Maserati does to you?

Fantastic Jay, dead jealous, I am going to have to wait till xmas for mine.

How is the Auto box, by all accounts its a beaut.

So I take it there is a massive difference between the GT and the S then (having only driven the GT)

Hi Matt

The box is really nice, was stuck in a load of traffic on M25 and it was no problem to drive, once had a chance to open up very smooth, could be a little quicker on the paddles but no real issue. They do say that the fly by wire upgrade makes it alot more responsive.

With regards to the difference between GT an GTS, chalk and cheese but would depend on what you have driven before, if you have had a performance car or you drove one after another you would really notice the lack of power and soggy breaks. If performance is not a major consideration the GT is a very nice comfortable car and considerably cheaper than the S model.

so ultimately it would depend on what you want from your car and budget

Jay

I would say the the GTS is what the car should have been at the start.

Well i am a very aggressive driver ask my wife if you don't believe me and I am very heavy on brakes and clutches. It's been GTS all the way for me but I have only dismissed the GT on what I have been told by others and not from first hand experience.

Hi All

Quick question, How easy is it to get the Ipod upgrade on the car, even though it plays the ipod it will not control it from the centre consul.

Any ideas advice welcomed

Sorry not sure. I ordered the ipod kit with the car and all that seems to come is a lead to connect into the glovebox socket. Try asking the dealer.

I don't have an ipod and only got the lead to charge my iphone. Personally I am just loading CDs to the hard drive. They take a while to load but I've done ten so far and it would appear to take about 50.

I think Matt, for the certainty of purpose, research and peace of mind, you need to get in all three versions drivers seats asap, perferably consecutively.....work up from the 4.2....why spend an extra 10K...if its nearly all there in the 4.2.......do report back.......!!!!

I am so loving this car, can't seem to take it out of sport mode though, drives so much better, been pleasantly surprised with how it does on fuel too.

few bits I have comments on her so far:
- Satnav don't seem to take postcodes for some reason which is annoying
- Can't control the ipod from the consul which is a pain
- Navtrak double the price of tracker for some reason
- Would say that the upgraded drive by wire software would make it even more responsive

Saying that I just can't get enough of the sound of the engine, Can't stop smiling everytime I get in her.

Way beyond my expectations
