Had a racing green JC Works Mini very like the one in the orginal post. Bored out to 1375cc with 110bhp, big brakes, no give in the suspension and sticky tyres. Around Bristol it was untouchable, but get it on the motorway and above 85mph it was awful, had to part with it in the end! I miss it though, let it go for £2k or somethng silly and bough an Audi Cabriolet :)

Think I'd like one again, round town they're great fun, feels fast at 25mph!

Hired a Cooper S turbo ragtop with 6spd paddle-shift in Sydney last month... had the feeling it could have been quite good, but the Aussies do not let people drive quickly anywhere! Never seen a more controlling road regime, every sign is a threat. Shame as I had looked forward to it the whole holiday and never got to test it to it's potential!

Abarth .... for me as well .... Although not sure its a better car than the Mini .......

When I bought my first home many moons ago I had to sell my car and use my girl friends Mini for around 1 year ..... It was Apple Jack Green .....Thats the official name for it ...
