So after 3 months without the car I had a drive back to London without any CEL's.

Mike has complete a long list of jobs and also found out why the electrics kept cutting out, Two water pipes were not re-clipped sometime ago, so they have been going back and forth against some cables. The heat eventually burnt through the webbing and subsequently the electric cables. Mike did a fab job in finding this out.

Congrats on getting the car back to rude health. I'm sure it went much faster with your undoubtedly lighter wallet.

Good work finding the fault by the self-styled 'celebrity mechanic'!!

Excellent, good job tracking down the wiring issue, where was it? So I can check just in case. Enjoy being back on the road

If I had a list like that id have to pay in cash, burn the receipt and pretend I'd sole the car and bought it back to explain where it was.

Luckily Mrs W isn't Internet savvy , I don't want her googling Maserati spares prices

I bet it's great to get it back after 3 months , especially with it running so well

I bet you would if you took it for an inspection. Most cars will need work doing.

Probably but after over 35 years of driving I've learnt one thing, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, did a 500 mile round trip in it yesterday without incident, so far the only thing that's making me nervous is watching the temp guage climb in traffic and the noticible extra heat but so far the queue hasn't lasted long enough to see at what point the fans kick in .

Catman says it's normal so that's good enough for me, it'll be due a service soon so I'll get it checked out then

It was doing that in 30 degree heat in Italy. Used to make me nervous as well, but we sat in loads of traffic with never a problem :)

Mine has the opposite problem. Fans are on from the get go!

Considering how expensive Eurospares postage is, their delivery is rubbish! 4 days and counting to put something in a jiffy bag and post it is ridiculous!

Actually, now I think about it, did you order on line? Every time I have, I've had to call them up because the order got stuck in their processing system, and no one knew about it

I have telephoned them in the past (for coils) and I found the guy very helpful and delivery was prompt.
It may be an on line thingy
