If I had a list like that id have to pay in cash, burn the receipt and pretend I'd sole the car and bought it back to explain where it was.

Luckily Mrs W isn't Internet savvy , I don't want her googling Maserati spares prices

I bet it's great to get it back after 3 months , especially with it running so well

Th wife does not know the full cost yet hohoho, I keep revising the bill. Tonight she just said oh and carried on with dinner!

Had to clear out the garage as it suddenly became full of bikes and old ironing boards, old Hoover and the list goes on. So off to the dump Saturday.

My general rule is knock 25% off of what I spent, or if it is particularly savage. Halve it! Or leave the labour cost off! :D
She knows Masers cost a bit to maintain. She doesn't need to know exactly how much! :D

I usually follow the same principle, however I had run out of cheques so had to borrow one from my wife so she will find out when it's banked in a few days.

When I purchased the AC wheels and had them refurbished with new tyres. I hid them in the garden shed. 3 months later she saw them and I told her those old wheels have been there for ages. :0)

Hmm. Mrs Catman typically doesn't ask. As long as she gets her toys :)

Excellent, good job tracking down the wiring issue, where was it? So I can check just in case. Enjoy being back on the road

Here is a photo, just above the the coolant pipes you can see where the body work paint has been eroded, this is due to those pipes being loose and swinging towards the body. They are quite heavy and hot when the engine is running. Am guessing the noise would be quite low as I never heard anything.

Actually, now I think about it, did you order on line? Every time I have, I've had to call them up because the order got stuck in their processing system, and no one knew about it

C

Guess what?

They have the part, just haven't sent it out! Reckon it's because it was a Maserati part number it was ordered for and that they thought they had to get it from Italy.
Whereas the Ferrari part number, which is exactly the same, they had it in stock! FFS!

So I don't suppose I'll be fitting it tomorrow! Ejits!

One of my biggest fears if I die is that my wife sells my stuff for what I told her I paid for it!

If my other half new how much I've spent on cars and motorbikes...she'd hand me my gentlemen's bit on a platter!!! Luckily I remember the figures I tell her.....so far!!!!

I sense a trend; Jeanette wouldn't have a clue of the value of tools etc. I am always happy to tell her how much I am saving though!

She knows I'm getting a two post lift, she does not know it is bought and paid for and in a warehouse just 18 miles away awaiting space! Neither does she know about the 'alterations' that are needed to the garage to allow it to fit :)

As if by magic, it's just turned up!
Will be ordering by phone in future!
