V6 in Levante puts out 430Ps with good torque and light (?).

Got to be the way Bob. The v6 must be easily tuneable to 500bhp with a bit of strengthening, larger turbos and a map. We know the gearboxes are good for it as they are used in other applications with more power.

Also what's this thing I've got to do with the accelerator and ignition before I start the car? What does doing this help with?
Thanks tom.

Ignition on, press the accelerator three times before the lights go out, key off then start after lights have gone out (self test completed). Stand back in amazement of super smooth gear changes and throttle.

Ignition to first turn wait for the airbag light to go out then start, works a treat.......

YES YES YES. You must do it. They are about 400 quid or so, the prices are on Larini's website.

As Contigo said, the 3 pump method is the one that I use and find it works great. It was a tip from Dicky Grace. Not tried the other method - waiting for the lights out. It may also work. I think it's about priming the system, getting the various pumps and electrical systems to their correct operating positions. Works with all MC Shift cars, not just Stradales.

Do they have to cut the existing pipes to fit?

Is there a noticeable drone when fitted?

No need to cut, just remove the existing silenced X pipe and replace with the Larini pipe using the existing clamps.

No drone on mine.

.

Mine's been on a week and it does sound great, an excellent subtle improvement over the stock system and for me, there's no need to do anything more to it.
We must meet up soon David so that you can hear mine side by side with yours and then you can decide

Absolutely Stuart, I am almost certain I want to add the X- Pipe but it would good to put the cars side by side to hear the difference before going a head........

I wish I had recorded mine a little beforhand. Once it's fitted its hard to remember what the original sound is like. I am still not 100% convinced its better, but it will put a daft grin on your face!

For me that standard noise is just perfect. Not sure it needs anything different but everyone to there own. Maserati got the noise just right.

Wash your mouth out!! It's miles better. The standard exhaust is great but too smooth with no real pops and crackles.

Is the standard Strad a silenced x-pipe like the rest then? The Larini replacement being an unsilenced x-pipe?
