Going through the same pain at the moment too.
If I had builders do all 3 rooms I would have been looking at £18k
Ive done it myself plus used local tradesmen at £160 cash a day for the plastering, plumbing and wiring and Ill come in at £6k
Thats £12k to put into cars...so it is Maserati related in a roundabout sorta way
I spent 2 years of weekends doing a self build. ill get round to finishing it soon lol
Car is kept in garage so he didn't see that. It was Kitchen supplier that quoted £4k so that's why I looked elsewhere and got it for £2100 which I was pleased at. So for the cost of their fitter I've got the kitchen fitted, electricals, plumbing and quartz worktops all done!I think he's added in the , he has a nice car on the drive price. obviously I don't know what size your kitchen is or to what extent your having done, fitment type etc. but this does sound expensive to me.
Break it down with how many guys and how long on site and work it out from there.
although sometimes its worth the extra few hundred for it to be done right so if he comes from a recommendation then could be worth it.
I am 6 weeks in and today all the building work will be done. Next is the floor (£2k fitted, porcelain tiles...anyone on here a tiler?) so I am on track for a 3 month project finish.

SupranoStu is a top Quality tiler and still works as one!!..............But he lives up north in Warrington, a bit far I think!I am 6 weeks in and today all the building work will be done. It's just to fit cabinets and cookers etc.I guess it depends if “fitting a kitchen” includes floors, tiling, plumbing, electrics and decorating or just the cabinets / worktops etc.
I have just had 65 square meters of kitchen floor tiles ripped up, made good and refitted with electric underfloor heating and it’s a 12k bill ! That does include decorating as well but even so !
Mostly covered by insurance but I got 3 quotes from local trades and they were all roughly the same.
