Happy New Year to all!!

This year the Le Mans Classic returns in July and just enquiring is there anyone thinking of going this year?

The event is held on 4th 5th and 6th of July and is always a great event to attend.

I'm not confirmed myself yet but just putting out the feelers,

Hi Paul and Happy New Year to you too.

We are all doing the 24hr so wont be able to fit the Classics in as well as the Centenary.

Are you staying at La Butte? We are staying there for the 24hr.

What car do you have now, Fezzer was on your list wasnt it?

Hello Matt,

Yes, it is a busy year for things to do and places to see and of course the Centenary events across the world this year.

I am still without a car and still looking, but should have a set of Italian Wheels come April/May time and it may be a Fezzer!!(fingers crossed!)

Depending on numbers if any it may be La Butte but will see,

regards

Paul

Did Classic a few years back with our normal 24 Hr Le Mans group and the cars were fantastic but it just didn't have the same feel as the 24 Hr. Enjoyed it but don't think we would rush back again.

I'm going in the replica with a group of Caterham owners. We're staying in a chateau about 15 miles South of the circuit. Will probably park in the Maserati area when at the circuit though (if I can work out where that is)

So, how many people are going to the Classic? I would like to go, but have only been to the main 24hr and don't know the ins and outs of the Classic. Are there any groups with an available spot?

Cheers.

We are just about to head back today from the 24hr.

We don't have any official group going to the classics, maybe the odd member will go.

Hi there,

As far as I'm aware there is Enzo and myself travelling down to the Classic on the Friday returning on the Monday, both of us taking our cars to the classic.

The Classic is a great event to view the cars from the previous 24hr races all pre 1980's I believe!

There is much to see and do and the races are run per category regarding the age of the cars. All the races are held over a 24 period but only an hour long per car category.

In regard to attendance and numbers they are way lower than the modern day 24 event but still busy enough.

This will be my third time to the event and well worth the trip each time.

Cheers

Paul

Hi, I am going with a group of jags, alfa4c, lotus and various others. Going over on the Thursday returning Monday. We go with Club Valan who provide tickets, food and entertainment on a campsite set up on the airport land. Went in 2012 and enjoyed a more relaxed atmosphere with plenty of classic and rare motors.
