Just spend along time speaking to him after he called me back this morning, and its all very concerning but not desperate.
He wanted me to pass on his situation and assures you he will be back.
Basically, he has been suffering from lung and throat problems for a few months now. He had a bonfire a few weeks back and inhaled a lot of smoke after it went out of control and basically it appears that this has caused damage to his already suffering lungs. As we all know, Loz is a smoker so its always a concern but the doctors seem to feel that the immediate issues are more to do with the smoke inhaled than anything more sinister which is good.
The reason why his phone has been off and not contactable is that he has been in hospital so the gravity of the situation is quite severe, but he is out now, and believe it or not, still considering attending Le Mans albeit as a passenger this time.
We all know Loz and like the rest of us he has petrol running through his veins and the lure of Le Mans is very great.
Message to Loz: There is always next year, your health is more important!
Anyway, I am sure you will all join me in wishing him the best and a speedy recovery.
PS he tells me smoking is a thing of the past so maybe something good can come from all this.
Chin up mate!
