Wow that escalated quickly!!! :D

The car wasn't sorted originally? I though it was looked after very well with some choice mods when I went in it at Modena and ragged the tits off it on the track! :D

You guys really need to look at you attitudes. The car in question is a very well known and no standard example. A Maserati should be left as it was the day it left the factory.

This vehicle was classed as a total loss and has had a vast amount of modification and should be priced accordingly.

The is a massive difference of opinion on CAT cars.

A majority of the trade....yes a MAJORITY will not touch a CAT car with a barge pole full stop. They will only deal in clean non-CAT cars. That is a FACT. The risks & unknowns are too high & there are plenty of non-CAT cars out there.

Would I but a CAT car? No....Never. Why would I when there are plenty of non-CAT cars out there. Some insurers won't insure them at all. Some will use it as an excuse to try to charge a premium.

If the car is not substantially cheaper it is not worth the hassle or potential issues in my book. Each to their own but I just don't see the point.

Even if my opinion is wrong or misguided it makes little difference. Plenty of others think the same so you have taken a comparatively small marketplace to sell into & made it smaller. These kind of cars are often hard to sell at the best of times & CAT cars make it even harder to shift them.

Phil, imagine if yours was a CAT car?! ;)

If I'd have known it was a cat car when pulling a G in it I might have thought otherwise :D

Only joking Arnie! Good luck with the sale....
