Maser appreciation

Though my QP Sport Gt is nowhere near as nice sounding as Dan's GT-S, had a similar experience at the weekend driving up the A41 from Hendon. Found a long clear stretch of road and decided to try the acceleration at full throttle. The car picked up speed beautifully but more than that, gave out a wonderful howl.

So much so that as I approached the rear of a Ford Mustang waiting at the next roundabout I could see the passengers were looking around for the source of the noise. A ver nice young lady then leaned out the front passenger window with this great look of appreciation and gave me two thumbs up. I waved back and all the passengers waved as they drove off!

Hhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...so does that prove the theory that females respond to and find males driving cars making that sort of noise more attractive...........ie...had she written her phone number or either or both thumbs....?....;)...;)

Yes, of course it does and this makes it official:

I want to say that things took an interesting turn at the next roundabout but then you would complain about my cheesy jokes!

I am sure the irony of the words in a paragraph of the above article won't be lost on any of us...

"Psychologist David Moxon, who conducted the study commissioned by motor insurer Hiscox, said: "We saw significant peaks, particularly in women."

:thumb3: It's great isn't it!

As I pulled up to a set of lights the other day making a racket as I down shifted and blipped and popped a chap in an old Escort jumped up and down on his accelerator in mimiking approval. Laughing he gave me the thumbs up as I passed.
Still only getting positive responses so far.

Completely agree Andy, and is further enhanced by knowing this is the latest chapter in a lineage of QPs that were all just about as classy as a it gets. A completely unflawed pedigree (IMO)

Maybe the appreciation lies in the belief by "joe public" that the Maserati brand is somehow more exclusive, and a bit more restrained than Ferrari's or Lambo's
