Dead quiet job......For me it would have to be something solo, wouldn't want the hassle of employing people with all the associated paperwork/hassle.
One of my old school pals is a solo undertaker, done it since leaving school for nearly 35 years. Does all the 'doing up' himself, and hires in all the cars and men in black.
He has, and still is, making a packet. Steady trade, economy proof etc!!
Infact going on a MTB ride with him this afternoon. I will be on my 17 year old Halfords special, he will be on his new carbon fibre special...which he will be bringing in his new £100k Rangey...black, of course!
(There are downsides to this though, he has never found love, but, I guess he has plenty to pay for it...)
£100k restoring cars! Good luck with that!
I tend to agree. Starting salary for a Consultant Brain Surgeon with 20 years training is 75k.
But having said that- nothing would suprise me about modern day life.
That is what i thought but didn't dare say anything!!
Well I nearly didn't but that seems stupid.

yep, sounds like a brain surgeon ie required..... i know i know, i'll get my coat, seems a bit daft as you say, some basic offshore jobs get close to that and most more!!!!!
As do most jobs in IT and nobody dies! (mostly)

Totally agree, why go through all that,
I'm just grateful they do , without the services of specialists in the NHS my wife would most likely be in a wheelchair

Partner is a Consultant for the NHS and I am surprised at the pay she gets. She also retrained as a Medical Negligence Lawyer some years ago...was paid 4 times the wage to pick faults in NHS work but returned to health as she hated the morality of it all.
