Really?

Paddy will be ok but Freddy...they have tried endlessly to find a TV spot for him and it doesnt work.

Keep Rory (for now) and definitely CH and get detective inspector Gene Hunt in I say!

It's all far too Lancastrian! It will be like being in a pub in Chorley on a Friday night.

Wow, I want to say I'm shocked, but in the reality, it goes beyond that. A cricketer (who tries to be a comedian) and a comedian then. And Rory (who I didn't like, but warmed more to in the last series) taking ,more of a back seat. Hopefully those 2 don't rub off on Chris Harris too much, and he can continue to be the car geek we know and love.

Did Top Gear (as a global brand) completely tank when Clarkson et al. left, or are the Beeb just determined to completely ruin it?

I guess, that said, the American's seem to lap up as much of James Corden (for example) as they possibly can, whilst I can stand him. Perhaps this is a similar thing...

On another side note, i watched a couple of episodes of Fifth Gear, which i didn't even realise was still going. An interesting take on the format, it feels like watching the episode in fast forward as they (the ageing cast) basically take a quick look at the car and stick it around a track, pick another car, back to a track, ca..... track! I wonder if they will eventually just dispense with presenters and just show a series of hot laps!

No top gear as a global brand went bust a few years before Clarkson was sacked which is probably why the last few season's they were presenting they did nothing other than take the ****... Towards the end of their run it was not a car show nor was it entertainment... Looks like they want to take it back in that direction again

Noooooo that's just criminal sitting on the UR Quattro like that.
Agreed would be a disaster with those 2. I thought they were considering james martin who's a petrolhead and would make a great presenter

Well, that saves me an hour a week for as long as the next TG season lasts.

Grand Tour is more entertaining, in my humble.

Why did Matt Leblanc leave? Didn’t even realise he had left.

I thought he was quite good. Though perhaps not so appealing to the Americans.

Not sure where they plan to go with these two, pity Matt left he was just getting that balanced rapport with CH which make these things work.

I think the story is he was missing home too much, I saw one the last recordings this year at Dunsfold and he was quite a funny guy, the amount of re-takes was hilarious, I've never stood for so long, fecking knackered by the end
