Newbie in East Yorkshire

Hi everyone.
I have to change my current car this year and am looking for GT/S MC Shift.
A few questions for you current owners;
Is there a meet in Yorkshire that I could visit and ask owners of my planned car questions and secondly is there any good books or buyers guides that anyone can recommend? I've looked for Maserati books but they all seem to be about the history rather than buyers guides or books on the current vehicle line up in the Maserati stable.

Thanks parisien. I did see a similar thread b ut from the south and I cant seem to find were there is a list of meets or regions.

We dont do strict regional meets, we tend to have a bi monthly one at Ace Cafe in London and attend the major UK events, have a central Xmas event that you have just missed and a couple of Euro trips, such as Le Mans 24hr and the Maserati Centenary trip in September which are always very well attended.

Members do on occasion organise off the cuff events, why not start one?

I would like to meet drivers and ask their oppinions about their own vehicles and I'm afraid London is 200 miles away for me so a litle too far to pop down and have a chat. Can anyone recommend any good buyers guides or books to do some of my own homework?

Me too - still have a house near Holmfirth, and a daughter at school in Yorkshire, so visit fairly often. Proximity to the M1 and M62 means the Huddersfield/Brighouse area is pretty easy to get to from quite decent distances. And the countryside is superb...

Sounds perfect Robert. Although I am away for a big chunk of February so could only do the weekend of 1/2 Feb, or then weekend of 1/2 March.

I am more than welcome to offer Bowker Maserati for any upcoming meeting and drive out. (even a regular event could be planned)
We are just putting the finishing touches on a Supercar Club meet in April.
Our cars are always available for viewings/demos.
We have some amazing roads in the area, (BennyD will agree)a pub opposite and numerous other pubs in the area.
And we are 5 minutes from Jnc 31 M6

Correct on all counts, so it has to be one of them..!!

I think it was on the A635 but can not be sure. I was on the way back from Autoshield and the M62 was blocked so i took the back road. Coming from Manchester side it was on the right..?? I have had a look on G.Earth but can't locate it. Mike, does it sound like anything you know, it can't be far from you..??
