Oil Pressure Need 5+ and Flickering Oil Temp Needle

Bummer. Mine gives 2.5 with the key just turned to light up the dash but then behaves itself after the engine is on giving 5bar on load and dropping bk to 2.5 at idle.
Defo should not do this then? Not just reading residual presure in the system?

I would get that one checked, could be sender, or the gauge. Hopefully not reading 2.5 Bar high over the complete range as that would mean zero pressure at idle, but I'm sure that would have manifested itself by now if true :/

I took my wife out tonight for our wedding anniversary and both my needles behaved impeccably! 5 bar on startup, with drops back to 2.5 no flickering etc. Temp was whatever one segment back from 90 is I think when I remember looking.

So my fault if ever there was one has self rectified, saving me a bit of coin on the possible repairs..

Good to hear it is sorted. Btw oil level should be checked when hot and engine idling.

Yep, all though I do have a genuine leak, water ingress, flow problem!!

Yes, dipstick. Reason is it is a dry sump engine, hence different approach

Its had its oil changed a week or so ago so thats probably a good idea. Ive checked when cold a few times and it is on MAX.
