I hear what you're saying Stu, I had the same issue. I loved my Stradale - although it is a fast GT car and too heavy to be really direct on the road. I think you're spoiled by having the Lotus and the balanced, direct hot hatches which then make the Stradale feel the size and weight that it is.
I have no doubt (I even had a deposit down briefly) that if there was an Alfieri or another sports model that Maserati had actually launched, I would have bought that. But there isn't so for me the only choice was FF. It's the only car I have wanted, other than the Stradale, in the last 10 years. I just like the quirky madness of a 4 seater, 4wd, v12 fast back Ferrari. Brilliant!
I don't see the point in buying a stop gap Maserati while you build the new venture, especially given the other cars you have anyway. We all know there is a disaster happening in Modena right now. When customers who have been buying your brand for many years - especially new vehicles - have literally nothing to buy, this is a disaster and the folks at FCA should be ashamed of themselves.
