Alfa tried to address the FWD issue by building the 4WD system for the Brera. Spent loads of R&D money, but the system actually made the car very heavy (1760 kilos), and slower than the GTV for 0-60.
The 4WD system worked well on my 33P4, normally front wheel but any slippage the torque was transferred to the rear.
You could drop the clutch in the wet and it would just stick and go.
Exiting a roundabout under power and no inner front wheel slippage.
Was a great car really, all with the quad cam boxer soundtrack through an Autodelta exhaust. Memories. Try and forget about the rust issues!
