We will be meeting in a community centre car park opposite a pub in Brize Village and drive in altogether in convoy as I have passes. Should look pretty impressive on the day

Spike, is it a big issue if we need to leave before 5.00, if so we may bring another car and leave it in the community centre outside the base so wife can take a bored/tired three year old home early....

Hey Spike, Adam here - am I too late??? This was great last year - good to see you're still using one of the photos from the day. Will check on my family responsibilities etc and if still time will hopefully confirm things in a few days.
Cheers

I normally find that a decent shot of calpol remedies the problem of a screaming child...

I'm asleep within minutes.

As has been well publicised in the media, RAF Brize Norton is playing very key role in the current crisis in North Africa. The annual Families Day takes great organisation, all voluntary, from many members of this large unit, the majority of whom, are presently committed to this military operation.
As a result, it is with great regret that the 2011 event for this June has had to be cancelled. I hope all ‘players’ understand and may I take this opportunity in personally thanking you for your support of this great occasion.

I will endeavor to PM all confirmed attendees and ensure that any personal details that you may have passed to me are destroyed.

That's a real shame Spike as it was set to be a record Maserati turnout, but understandable given the situation. Wonder whether we could organise something alse seeing as everyone's cleared their diaries? Any thoughts?...........

Would need to be in that neck of the woods I guess - Lechlade, Chipping Norton?

We could meet somewhere in the morning for a late breakfast, go for a couple of hours drive (route pre-planned?) find a friendly pub with parking for lunch. They'll certainly be helpful if we're making lunch reservations for upwards of twenty cars?

Thoughts?

some nice roads around the Cotswolds, we need Andrea for advice as it's her neck of the woods and she has already done a couple in the area....

That's a real shame Spike; fully understand that at times of need out precious forces have to dig in and luxuries like family days are the first to go.

Hope something else can be arranged.
