Hi Spike,
It's unfortunate that the event is cancelled but totally understandable. Please pass on our best wishes to all those at BN involved in this difficult operation and thank them for the difficult job they do on our behalf. Hopefully we will have another opportunity to visit BN at some future date. Thanks for the effort you made to organise the event.

I've just received an email from Mike Stokes concerning the Brize Norton meet on 20th August, including entry requirements.

Am I to assume that everything is now back on????

I don't want to show up at a working airbase without knowing that everything is OK.

I had not heard a word since the cancellation of the earlier date until last night's email. It came completely out of the blue.

Is there anyoneon here with some more information on this.

Elliott, I'm sure all is Ok. All you need to do is quote the Flight Sergeants name (Michael Stokes) on arrival at the gate and you will be escorted in. If you are not convinced, call him on 01993 897299 and put your mind at rest.

No worries Elliott, see you there. I am really hoping to attend but it is dependent on Ryans treatment. If anything changes I will let you know, but, as I said, I am hoping to be there.

Its a lower key type event - Spike did send an email earlier in the year following the cancellation, he wanted 10 or so cars to form a Guard of Honour outside the Officers Mess, I think the invite was still open to attend the day as well, sadly I seem to have deleted the email.
Benny is absolutely right - any doubts and Flt Sgt Mike Stokes is the man to contact
Sadly I cant make the day

Elliot I was sent an email a few weeks after the event was cancelled and told there were ten places available for a smaller scale event so put my name forward, just got the email today, but not sure how many others are confirmed, I would check that he has all your details as security is very tight.

Thanks Andrew. I've just done what you suggested. I have no record of the meet on the 20th. Though, with my shocking memory, that doesn't mean that I didn't sign up to this months ago and subsequently forgot all about it

Hi guys. It is with considerable regret that I am having to pull out of tomorrows meet at Brize. I am now back at work and am running around getting the ticks I need to get back on line, so I am unable to attend. I'm more than a bit p1ssed off as I really wanted to see Brize again and to do so with other Maseratisti would have been great. So, apologies again chaps and I look forward to seeing you all again in the near future. Have a good one and don't forget to post some pics.
