Totally. Like I give a **** if I'm shopping for my elderly parents and myself, and they get confused if they don't get their own receipt.

C
I got told off by my staunchly independent 90 year old neighbour if I didn't account for every penny of change when I shopped for her during lockdown, I'd round it up to the nearest pound in her favour.
She also told us off for not buying ourselves a bottle of wine for shopping for her.

And some people have dyslexia..........
I am glad its not my spelling / grammar you are picking up on, I went through years at school being made to feel useless and inferior because I could not make sense of words and numbers.
wouldn’t appreciate it in my adult life ;)

It’s quite amazing how some on here go off on a strop and continue moaning and complaining if a post contains anything to do with color, nationality, race etc. But acceptable to take the p1ss out of something such as dyslexia.

This seems like a very weird 'whatabout'.

Someone could certainly argue that making a mild joke about dyslexia is (just about) as bad as making a similar joke about race, but I think what some people were 'moaning about' on here was primarily posts that seemed to be defending, denying or dismissing actual racial prejudice, not people making jokes.

is it if it is self deprecating? Dyslexia for me has massively widened my vocabulary over the years as ironically I’m better at spelling long words than I am at short ones! In the same way Aspergers has probably been a bonus and managing a stammer has made me work on speech with coping methods. To the point I doubt any on here have even noticed it when we have met.

Testing when coming back to UK is a f/ing farce.
Especially if it happens to be a weekend or bank holiday.
So, the law states you have to test on day 2 and day 8. You can opt to test to release on day 5 by paying for another test. £157 on tests.
So, I came back Fri 28th, which makes day 2 Sunday 30th, and day 8, the following Saturday.
The kits I have received say, do not tale test until 2 hours before posting and don’t post between Fri 16:30 and Monday 08:30. (Which technically means I’m breaking the law because they don’t work weekends or there isn’t any postal service)
Which makes my day 2 test day 4 only it was bank holiday so in affect day 5.
This makes my day 8 test, day 10, because it’s a Saturday.
As I type my day 5 test hasn’t turned up because the company doesn’t post on a Sunday or BH.
So, if it gets here today (day 6) they won’t test it until day 8.

Of course this is just my experience with the companies I chose.
Others may fare better, as do I now I’ve shared the pain.
