Official documents with grammatical errors.

This is from the Campaign Against Aviation. The introduction to CAP1721. @MarkMas @CatmanV2 look away now.

Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) are non-binding standards adopted by EASA to illustrate means to establish compliance with the Basic Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2018/1139) and it’s Implementing Rules.

Why, oh why, oh why?

Is it just laziness or has the education system failed them, start reading a few paragraphs on facebook and your head will explode, thankfully with the arrival of the smartphone and unlimited contracts text speech seems to have disappeared

I would go with the former. People who do similar things, when I've spoken to them about it, have no idea of even the basic concepts. One of my students for example, finishes just about every statement with a question mark. He simply does not understand when we try to explain so clearly has no idea what a question mark actually is.

If I had a teacher who drove a Continental I’d also have question marks

Wtf does
Electrified with mild hybrid power
Mean
Nissan Advert

Apparently it's just a bit of a boost for the regular engine, powered by battery charging when braking. Sounds pretty wet.

From the Volvo website: "Mild hybrids use both a combustion engine and an electric motor to reduce emissions and improve fuel economy. They do this by using energy stored in a 48-volt battery that is generated by braking. This energy is then used to boost the combustion engine during start-up and take-off."

Just had a letter from HMRC.
Like a good tax payer I have done my 2021 self assessment and submitted. Upshot is I owe about 1200.
As I am working in Denmark, I thought, not an issue, I will elect to have it paid back from my military pension next year at 100 a month and keep my savings in the bank.
Nope, not allowed as that would mean I would be paying a disproportionate amount of tax on my earnings ( Military pension)
I guess the systems are that rigid that even though I have elected to do it , the rules have decided it would be unaffordable based on my earnings.
The upshot is.....pay it all at once....(which isnt an issue), but if the system thinks I couldn't afford to pay it back over a year on my meagre earnings, how does it think I can afford to pay it in one go.......
