Hi,
Thanks the indecisive female members of my family we cannot go to Ludlow as now all the hotels are booked for the first weekend in November, or the remaining rooms are out of budget.
I am now on the hunt for somewhere else to go. It's for my Dad's birthday. Would be grateful for your thoughts.
The rough requirements for town are:
- no more than a 3 hour drive from North London;
- a few things of historical note to see (churches, cathedrals, museums, etc)
- of a decent size to potter around in for two days and not get bored!
- an old market town would be nice
- picturesque
- nice pubs
- nice restaurants
Not: Oxford, Cambridge, Bath, Marlow, Chichester, Brighton, Poole, Bournemouth
Really hoping you guys can help!
Thanks
