Return of supersonic flight

As long as it includes fast track immigration at JFK then it might work.
This and lounge access are things you can buy pretty cheaply as add-on’s to your economy flight.

Before I retired I flew long haul about twice a month on business on average when my clients were paying, and got very used to comfortable lounges with free food and drink and the “fast track” security lanes.

I didn’t realise how much I took this for granted since flying “cattle” on all short haul and many long haul flights now I have to pick up the tab myself! I looked into it and there are lounge access passes like “Priority Pass” where you can gain access to certain lounges in most airports around the world for an annual fee of a few hundred £. The Ap tells you which lounges in which airports are available and where they are in the terminal. This really becomes a great sanctuary when your economy flight is delayed. Highly recommended!

How can it have windows as big as that shown in the mock-up? I thought the reason Concords‘ windows were so small was that if one blew, only a manageable amount of air would escape while the plane descended to an appropriate height.

Must be said I’m no aviation expert, so I could be talking rubbish!
incredibly small seat and table?

I thought it was due to air pressure and the fact that windows aren't as strong as the fuselage. The big innovation on 787 was bigger windows, much loved by passengers. I also know sod all about this kind of stuff. Where's Benny when you need him?

Anyhoo, long-haul flying is a hateful pile of fetid horribleness if you do it much. The lack of sleep, the smell, the other people... nothing to commend it. A comfy bed, good food, peace and quiet all makes a world of difference and cuts days from jetlag recovery. Post-covid I decided if I must travel for work it will be less but in comfort (assuming the $$$ isn't massively taking the pish, and with some reasonable flexibility it often isn't).

Yep, I‘d forgotten I used to get Priority Pass on my credit card. I never really used it instead just finding a quiet corner in Nero or whatever most of the time. Mind I like the idea of buying fast track next time I go to New York. Is that easy to do?
