the early gallardos 04-06 were so problematic that if you dont buy through lambo dealer you need thusands if anything goes wrong, those that did buy through dealer, things like gearboxes are not under warranty and they wear very easily, costing 7k to put right, if its e-gear its min 10k....that friend of mine had trouble with his and he did some research and found out that they were lambos version of the 3200, now they bought out the LP, thats like the GS, its now sorted....
Dem is right some had very bad problems....2006 on is a very sorted car but they cost a fortune so I am told...Make the Maserati runnign costs seem very reasonable.
you think a Gallardo is expensive, have a look at the costs on a Murcielago. 5K for a clutch.
I still like the Gallardo alot...Don't think it looks old and still looks much better than a 430...
Mate of mine has a Murci LP640, fully loaded. He tried to sell it after less than a year as he wasn't really using it, had only done about 3k miles. He paid just over £250k & put it up at £185k and had absolutely no interest! With that sort of depreciation I doubt many owners care about running costs in comparison.
That's it fellas, subject to a clean bill of health, it's gone to DickyGrace
End of an era, new one to start.
And I'll be in a Spyder next year, pretty sure
