I'm guessing that Maserati doesn't provide the option of that colour, but I like it.
That strikes me as a pretty good asking price off a forecourt.
Incidentally. If you get into the car and the dash lights up like the Blackpool illuminations.
Its a weak battery. Most likely. Either from sitting too long, or on it's way out.
There ought to be a tyre Maserati inflation kit in the boot. If its been used and not replaced.
Obviously, you'll need something else.
The 'Blackpool experience' was what happened to me. First time I turned the key.
A new battery is the only unexpected item that I've had to buy in about three years of
ownership. My car is the same spec and year as yours. Its been ultra reliable.

Another welcome. And another recommendation for Migliore as a relatively local independent. (I'm based in the Shropshire twisties - remarkable how much worse the roads are this side of the border!)

Thanks Phil,
I spoke to Oliver on the phone who said it had been sorted and the brackets on the recent MOT advisory has been too. There will be a new MOT on the car before Thursday, so it shouldn't come up then, but I've asked the question just now once more.

I'll update with the reply.
Sounds like you've fallen on your feet and are dealing with the better end of the motor trade. That was lucky.
I can't recall the mileage and service intervals. I service mine annually anyway. If a big service is due, you might
ask whether this was done, or is due. I'm not asking, however if you paid the asking price which in this case, as I said seems reasonable, there must be margin enough for the guys to service it, if its about due.
A 'mini' service is oil, NGK plugs and filter, so far as my booze addled brain can recall. Costs me a few hundred including labour.

Just had a look at my own pack and all it states are the items to be checked each year. One year being the 'mini' service and every other year, the 'major' service. If I'm wrong guys. Please correct me.
Same as mine, your franchise and indy services may not be written into your service record.
The franchise dealer where the car was serviced ought to have retained these records on their IT system.
You can request a hard copy, which is something I keep meaning to do, as you can't depend on them keeping
records for ever.

Hopefully I'm not tempting fate, when I say that despite you completely ignoring the buying advice that we trot out here regularly, you've struck lucky and landed on your feet. You ought to have a huge amount of fun with the car.

I'll spare you the details. However despite reading all the advice here, I did exactly the same as you. Except, I went one better and bought private. It was an impulse, but as I know three of the four previous owners and they all have deep pockets, the odds were that the car was very well looked after. Apart from the 'Blackpool' scare initially, I've loved being the custodian of this fabulous machine and have spared no expense. When it comes time to sell. Possibly soon. I'll be counting the days, a few years away, until I buy another.

Either way I would be checking the weld repairs very carefully.
Some of the factory welding looks like it was done by Stevie Wonder.
A lot of the rust is internal and you can't see it properly until you have the subframe on the floor.
Lots of pictures on here as to what they look like.
The one I did was a 2007 back in early 2019.

I need to consider my options. I have a friend who owns a garage close to where I live. He and I spannered my Megane and he is confident he can do the same with this car. I am however thinking of resale value and the all important specialist stamps etc.

Simples get it inspected by a specialist and your local man can do the other maintenance.
If he can work on Renault's he can work on anything.

Welcome Mr Spoon to the forum, Phil's said everything that I would have said.
Believe me that service stamps are not the be all and end all without a proper inspection of the car by the technician involved. They should inspect the underside of the vehicle and not just change fluids. It has been known that subframes rust from the inside out since 3200s including QPs. So early detection and treatment is paramount. Like cancer, it doesn't just go away.
Also see if the variators and suspension bushes have been done.

For a GTS the service schedule is every two years, with different services each year. In ascending order of cost, it’s year 2, year 6, year 4 then year 8. All services are supposed to include oil, filter, gearbox oil (F1), brake fluid, coolant air filter etc. Then you add things like A/C, carbon canister, plugs, F1 fluid and lambda sensors which bumps up the price.

Annual servicing was required for Coupe / Gransport era cars.

Some people choose to do oil every year anyway, I do.

You must be getting excited, like an early Christmas when you know you've been good and you know you're getting what you wanted
