I'll have pictures a plenty shortly. I've come down from cloud 9 now and feel much better. Car is taxed, the V62 form is complete, the only delay will be adding the private plate.... i can live with an 08 plate for now ;)
Yup... but you'll never be able to live without the noise again! :)

There is not a job I know of that would stop me from taking a new toy out for at least a quick drive if it was just delivered to me.
Well astronaut maybe, but I would be on the first flight back down!

So my first real impressions.

I'm a little disappointed with the overall condition of this motor. I've spotted a few things very early on that need some form of repair, most easily fixed.

The car hasn't been valeted. Vape bottle in the middle arm rest, not hoovered, found some rubbish, section under boot floor lots of bits, tools spread out,
Boot carpet has been out at some point and poorly put back together
Tear in the front driver window tint (not sure if thats aftermarket)
Front badge not fitting right - its not very secure, although found a post here which shows how to sort.
Strip below rear badge missing screws and is loose.
Rear bumper section missing lips/screw.
Passenger side side skirt not fitted correctly after wrap
Door card is torn on the passenger side, above door mechanism (this was pictured on the ad, i missed it)
Boot struts are broken, they hold the boot, but allow it to go too far, almost touches the rear window
Parking sensors do not work (i think)- amber light is on - if there's a way to test these id appreciate it
Bluetooth function not available, although buttons are on the steering wheel/dash

Also, noticed this - looks like water - one of my hgvs does this after the zircon is used,

Amazingly, I sat at 60mph on the motorway and averaged 35mpg??? Down to 20 after a few 1-3rd blasts.

It is

Looks like it to me

Rest of it sounds like a good case of CDO, so crack on ;)

Boot struts are available cheaply.

Reversing sensors: Get an assistant to engage reverse. You can hear, or feel the sensors ticking. The one that doesn't is broken. Skoda parts are a straight swap from memory (although the bumper needs to come off unless you have really small hands....

That will be air con condensation, not a biggie.

If I were you I’d be having a good look at the chassis plates and the subframe.
