Watched the Elvis film last night, enjoyed it, what a sleazebag Colonel Parker was, Elvis was a cash cow to be milked until they killed him at 42

As an aside, I watched it on an LG oled TV via 4k bluray, the difference between compressed streamed 4k and 4k bluray is astounding

Cock nostrils? Thanks for the disturbing images Andrew.

Speaking of which. Watched Bullet Train last night. A bit like Death on the Nile.
Well, no. Not really. Classic, 'check your brain' fayre of equal parts gushing blood and giggles
courtesy of Bradley Pit and many angry Yakuza. Oh and a big scary snake.?
Effortlessly passes the time. I suspect for the cast, as much as an audience.
What IS the collective term for a group of Yakuza anyways? A finger of?

I've just binge watched Clarkson's farm 2

Considering the government harps on so much about supporting farmers the way the local council are behaving is appalling

They deny everything he applies for, he wanted to open a restaraunt, despite the valid arguments for supporting local farmers who were all set up to supply everything to the restaraunt delivering them a vital lifeline the council said no

His only option after the refusal was to appeal to the secretary of state, which you would think would be a simple process

No, it's a public enquiry which costs £500,000 in legal fees with no guarantee you'll win.

Just a brilliant series and like you couldn’t believe how the council reacted. As said above they are cock nostrils.

Motivated by the train derailment and subsequent, chemical spill, explosions and fire, near a small town in Ohio earlier this week.
I watched the movie White Noise. Released in December 2022. It depicted the above.
When I say that I watched the movie. That's not quite true. I fell asleep. About a third in.
Depicting the main character as a revered Hitler Studies Professor lacked any credibility and the movie
seemed to tumble downhill from there. This is one of the few occasions when memory loss is a blessing.

Absolutely one of the best things on the telly! I know Clarkson is a divisive character (apparently) however this series shines a light on come real issues with humour. As someone who has to deal with the planning system and local govt all the time, I'm amazed folk don't speak out more, particularly at elections, regarding the fking muppets that seem to gravitate towards the planning profession! Seriously, dont get me started!

Though I don't think he did himself any favours by pulling the barrister up on his spelling

You can tell what he's up against when objectors bring their barrister

Yeah, a bit unfortunate, especially when it's disclosed that the chap is dyslexic. A serious case of foot and mouth!

But surely anything presented should be proof read before being handed over, my wife used to be a legal secretary, they've had papers rejected because they were tied with the wrong shade of pink ribbon so a legal document full of spelling mistakes would definitly have been rejected because it could be argued their position wasn't clear as there might be ambiguity in the mis-spelt text

It looked like a rush job to me

Funnily enough that's exactly what my wife said. The barrister was all over the news about how insulted he felt. Tbh I thought he was a dick!
