Stupid job titles

It changed to Capability Scotland here, a better title in my opinion. I used to work there from time to time, intimidating initially but once passed that I enjoyed it.

My Dad works 3 days a week at the local homeless charity as their bookkeeper/accountant and giving financial advice to homeless people, helping with grants, benefits, filling forms in, obtaining accommodation and sometimes with the police and probation service.

We were all amazed not only that he enjoys it but also at how much he learnt so quickly. My Dad is the archetypal 80 year old white Brexit voting Tory so you can imagine how we thought him dealing with the homeless would go!!!

I worked part-time for a charity for adults with disabilities (Worcestershire Lifestyles - sort of an off-shoot of Scope) for about 15 years before it was forced to close because of financial cut-backs etc - overall an excellent time meeting some wonderful people (otherwise I wouldn't have stuck it for so long)
