Will probably swap my GS for one this year after the house move - fingers crossed it will not cost me anything other than the car.

Talking to Matthew yesterday, turns out he had some pattern 4.7 discs made. Took ages to sell them. I wonder if I should talk to him about a group buy?

I remember reading this when I went through the whole GT forum category on here.

I was going to ask him if he managed it although I PM'd Decemberlast year but he's not been on since November last year - so the chap is clearly busy so I've not gone any further with that yet!

I've got a Nettuno one coming in next week. Really good colour combo with beige interior.

You'd need to sell yours privately as they will kick you in the nads as a trade in (under 20k) and knock next to **** all off the GT.

Agree Phil,

I have an expert advising me on prices and likely use them for the sale and purchase.

The things in my favour are that the GS is static/appreciating in value and as I rarely need to use it (c380 miles last year) its not going to change in saleability. Yes it will get serviced in June and that's already sorted.

The GTs however are all heading down in price and as I don't care if its a 4.2 Auto or not the world is my oyster.

They don't seem too bad at all from what I've read.

On the Google reviews, there are some negative reviews with responses from someone there and also some left unanswered.

I think you would have to visit a place like this to get a feel for the staff there.

I think with Maserati, like with many prestige higher end brands, where original car price was £90k+ you simply get what you pay for - if you buy cheap you should expect
a) it hasn't been take care of as well as it should have/deserved
b) some expenses have been spared leading to parts failing
c) service history may not be up to scratch/full/specialist

Unfortunately cheap cars are cheap for a reason and you have to be comfortable with the risks - if you are then buy cheap Granturismo - why do you think there's cars advertised for £25k when you can get same car for £35k or £40k? Because its simply not worth it and risks are higher. Obviously market is always driven by how much buyers are willing to pay but with relatively low production number cars like Maserati (in comparison to "normal cars") your choices are limited so that gives sellers some leverage on price.
So you can either buy cheap £25k Maserati and have £10k saved aside to tidy it up, fix issues etc. or you can buy one that's priced higher but has been taken care of and risk of failure is relatively lower or it comes with the warranty....
