Nice choice Andy. I had the Lotus Elise S1 and it was really nice. Great track car but hard to live with as an everday tool for me being a 6ft 4+!!

I reckon most of the cars you posted are in the top ten list for the 90's that's for sure. I'd probably stick the Mazda MX-5 on there for sheer fun factor though and one of these for pure thoroughbred F1 technology to the road and this is what changed the face of supercars and really raised the bar.

Same colour as mine too :)

It's the only one I've ever owned, but had it for 5 years now... That's the longest I've ever owned a car and don't see it going anywhere. Whilst mine is far from standard the S1 is on the cusp of becoming a modern classic and will start (continue) to go up in price over the next years.

Brilliant little cars and a great compliment to a big maser. Love it.

That is the thing i dread if i am lucky enough to own an Exige or CSL, would i sell it and if so, i would hate to make the wrong decision.

Adam my father was in my opinion working in the motortrade in its heyday.
As a young lad i went to school in some awesome bits of kit as he was constanly tradeing he a Ferrari 330 for a while Jenson Interceptors were a regular but we lived in the midlands then.
The family car was a series 1 XJ6 4.2 which he painted from Sable Brown to Heather Pink it was the 70's.
Often hooliganed around in the Jolly Club Lancia Fulvias that he looked after.
He is on my face and has some excellent pics of his motors.

My dad's dad used to own 2 original mini coopers, he used to tune other people's mini's and he also looked after a Lamborghini Espada for a good friend of his. I hope to follow in his foot steps, restoring cars etc.

Ferrari 330, that is such a pretty car, and so is the Lancia Fulvia, wouldn't mind one of those, also like the Monte Carlo too.

I was very lucky that my father and his father encouraged me into the proffesion as i love doing what i do for a living.
But i do prefer working on the older cars and enjoy a day when i have to get my AF kit out.
Im lucky that my last apprentice has stayed with me as he is my saviour with the modern stuff and diagnostics and canbus and smart chargeing systemns.
State of the art technoligy in my younger days was elctronic ignition.
I hope for you that you can get into the trade because we need passionate people and i know you are about many things includeing your best mates mum.

i would quite like to restore cars and take them racing etc, when i worked at the Ferrari specialist it was great as i wasn't sweeping floors, i was actually working on the cars and especially at race weekends, i loved that, changing the oil, filters and the spark plugs, putting new wheels and tyres on etc. was great fun, i dont like doing jobs where i am not doing something productive, and oh yes, my passion for my best mates mum, that will help me in my future. :D:D
