So is there not an oppurtunity with the Ferrari specialist?
I know times are awkward but why not offer your services and enthusiasm for free when they go raceing and when your not in college.
Goes along way to make an impression and they will reward you in many ways especially what you would learn.

well the boss of the Ferrari specialist is thinking about doing a Motorsport Apprenticeship for people like myself and i have declared my interest in that. My first choice is that i would like to work in engineering at Bentley motors. I will be speaking to them soon when my January exams are over, i will try and gain some more works experience in february half term and easter holidays as well.

Well when i started out Adam i was lucky that when i started most garages did everything and my fathers garage was old school with proper trades people like your grandfather would be.
So i have from an early age been able to weld and paint all be today with the enviro police i would fall fowl of a few regulations/laws.
Most of my work is mechanical but for my own toys i do the lot.

If all else fails Adam you could start your own detail business, get your bucket and off you go

i have done the odd bit of car detailing, when i worked at the specialist, some customers did want their car valeting properly, used to spend a about 2/3 hours washing and cleaning some cars.

Austin Maxi handsome come on Adam.
2 things i remember about the Maxi was you could sleep in the back of it properly and that people used to knock the oil filter off parking it in car parks on kerbs.
