So - here are some basic photos of a Swiss Waxed 7 1/2 year old Gransport. It has done the paint the world of good.

Thanks chaps - I must say I was very impressed with how the paintwork came up. Definitely something I will continue to invest in each year. It was £300 + VAT for the full 4 stage treatment. A small price to pay for such a cracking result.

2001: 3200 GT Assetto Corsa - much missed
2003: 4200 Spyder - not sure it was me
2004: Gransport - Oh yes!

Enzo - here's the blurb:

As well as protecting your car with Swissvax you can achieve a shine like no other, this is achieved by a four stage process:
1. First the car is washed using Swissvax car bath shampoo.
2. The vehicle is then clay-bared, which removes all contaminates, ingrained dirt and any oxidisation off the surface of the paint
3. Then the body is cleansed and any fine scratches and swirl marks are filled using Swissvax Cleaner fluid. This creates a high gloss, high reflection finish.
4. The newly revived paint surface is then treated to a layer of crystal clear hard wax protection. Multiple layers of wax can be built up to give maximum protection and increased depth of shine.

I am going with an extra layer of wax - they are about £45 per layer. The current photos show 1 layer.

When I spoke to the dealer the clay bared layer was left on for at least an hour to draw in all the gunk embedded in the paintwork. The overall process took a good half a day.

I am a sucker for the sales blurb! Whatever happened the results were worth it!
