Good morning all, the only dampener on the day is we are all heading north from another perfect day yesterday at Lake Como, boat hire was just the very best idea, champagne and strawberries and a swim in the lake, across the lake later on the ferry for sundowners at a terrace bar, group dinner back across later. Today we have to cross the Alps in Maseratis (well most of us - sorry Benny) and what suffering that will be.

Have fun all...

Morning,

Another lovely day in prospect. Off to take the birthday boy, and his girlfriend, out to lunch then visit parents as we'll be in the same city. All travelling done in a newly serviced Maserati.

Dropping the Spider off at a specialist on the way for some work doing (rear suspension, crack in the exhaust manifold). That should have ticked off all of the mechanical issues with it ahead of Llandow next month.

Not at all jealous of the MoB bunch's drive through the Alps in Maserati. Been there, done that. (Ok, I'm very jealous just putting a brave face on it).

Have a great day all

Good morning all.

I can only echo Newton’s sentiments above. Yesterday was just one of those days you will remember for ever. Perfecto!

Today we are heading North and detouring through two routes off Stelvio that we have not done before on our way through Switzerland to Mulhouse.

The feedback we are getting is Monaco or Bust has been by far the best SM trip we have done. The trip virgins have all fully integrated into the group and for sure we will see them all again.

The only issue is that the next trip maybe over subscribed and all who want to attend will not get in.

We are still leaning too about how to organise them. Zep has been amazing with the small details that I feel make it....the parking at Portofino, Arese ALFA Museum and the Como speed boating.

It’s worked so well we are considering pushing the Scandinavian tour on a year and doing a Tuscany and Umbria hilltop tour in September 2019 and looking into car transporters and flying down as an option.

Watch this space but it’s been a very special trip and one the group wants to replicate next year.

A boys trip 2 years ago from Como over the alps towards Germany we called into Liechtenstein for lunch and stayed in Baden Baden in the evening. The drive and views were stunning! Enjoy.

Morning you lot. MOBers looks like a trip of a lifetime. Well done!
Pottering today while waiting for my watch to come back from service. Starting to get into the 'on leave' mindset. Which is rather lovely.

Have great day, all

Matt, sounds fantastical, fella. You ever looked at doing the train down with the cars on the back? From memory it starts in Holland and you can get down to northern Italy or even Greece.

More locally, we’re heading into Suffolk today for a pub lunch (I think).

Have fun, everyone, wherever you are.

Coming to the end of my first Saturday without employment ready for our move.

Good luck with everything, Phil. It'll be terrific to see you back on this side of the planet again soon.

Dave, if you need any help with that, just let me know. Not so much the swmbo part.

Matt I was quoted £5k one way to have the maser transported to Nice... hopefully you will find one considerably cheeper.

Good morning
Sat having breakfast watching tree fellers begin pruning work on three of my and one of neighbours trees.
My share will be £300 which I think is reasonable for a days hard graft.
The plaster has dried in the front room and I keep going in to look at it. that is all I do though - look at it. i really must get some motivation. The weather is great again so I will just be a supervisor today.
MoB looks and sounds absolutely fantastic
be safe everyone

Cheers Adam getting tempted looking at cars to buy.
Still thinking of a Jaguar XF 3.0 D as the first one and will try to get one around Paris before our drive to Laval.
