Successful reintroduction programme and now they are spreading everywhere. They are aero acrobats when you see them in flight
We stayed in a log cabin in Powys (Wales) quite a few years ago and visited a farm where the farmer came with a trailer full of meat on the back of his tractor. Then started flinging the meat up in the air whilst the Kites would swoop down and catch the meat in mid-air, it was fantastic to watch and funny to see the Lazy B@stard Buzzards walking along the ground picking up the left-overs!

I know they are common as sh!t in some areas but nice to see them spreading into our Cheshire area.

Morning all, never made it out of the house yesterday but successful in finalising last years accounts; note to other self-employed, you need to have the last years tax return finalised by tomorrow to qualify for the 80%

Will be talking to my accountant today and also prepping some jobs to minimise site time later in the week. I do enjoy sodding about on the lathe and other machines :)

Have fun all...

Morning, all. It's s stoopid-busy work week, but enjoyable. Once this current call finishes, I shall relocate outside to work in the sun until the next one starts.

@Vampyrebat , red kites are a lovely site. We get a few around here, but mostly we have buzzards, sparrowhawks and kestrels keeping the rodents in check.

Hi Newton
When you say self employed do you mean Ltd co, or sole trader? If sole trader it'll be with your normal annual personal tax return surely?

Always been a big fan and uber respect for 'Raptors'!........Here is a photo of a Sparrowhawk on our picnic table my wife took when we first moved into the Cottage/Sticks............She said "I took a photo for you of a Kestrel"

Beautiful beast.

Not a raptor, but I love the increasing proliferation of parakeets spreading from London. Whilst mindful of the potential environmental impact and competing for food and nesting sites with bats, squirrels and native birds, their colour and noise is a refreshing flash of exotic on a dull day. Like a nice car (aaaaand... back on thread. Apparently this is a car forum. Yeah, I know, who'd have thought it).

Afternoon all. Sluggish start to the day and have just been out on a 30 mile bike ride which I thought would be a nice quick 90 minute jaunt until I found to my horror that the ride included a climb that nightmares are made of.
And then got lost. So it turned into a 2 hour one. But very pleasant (apart from said climb) never the less.

Well to clarify yes sole trader/self employed so a stock personal tax return, this can include people who have a PAYE element to their earnings as long as the SE part (Including CIS) is > 51% of earnings

Agreed with all you say..... And if you didn't notice and to keep it on topic, there is an Italian sports car behind it!!
