Morning all

Very much hoping to Exchange on a wreck of a house in the next few days. Place is a tip. Conveyancers have been very very average.

Also got a bunch of job applications to do.

Interesting week!

Never use a conveyancer is the lesson you have just learned. Used them once. Never again. No matter how much cheaper they are.

Morning all.

Well Friday's sh*tstorm came to a head yesterday with toys being thrown out of prams all round.
The result is that a nailed on deal for $193m solar farm in Chile has gone tits up!
All because of fecking egos!!!!!
There goes a couple of months worth of work!

And there goes my Strad......

Back to the drawing board. As they say, throw enough darts at the board, one will stick!

Conveyancing is the most common cause of litigation and malpractice etc etc claims against law firms, and earns the least amount of money. It will never be prioritised!

Morning, all. Very odd going back to my old office in London, yesterday. It was genuinely like a time warp. After a year, nothing had really changed at all. Very odd feeling.

Any, WFH today, with an added degree of comfort due to my chair. Many calls to catch up on 2 days off, plus my new team leads will find out they are my new team leads today. I'm not expecting any issues. Yet.

Have a good one, all

Morning all, get those lift on order Phil; at least get the floor screened and their foundations in place. Hang in there Andy, Chris well done on the slowest office move ever!

Got a biggy today, installing a replacement commercial in-ground trampoline with my eldest lad assisting. Got about 5mm wiggle room getting the van on site towing the replacement on the trailer.

Have fun all...

Absolutely fed up with the UK housing market as I accepted the last offer in January and mortgage valuation being done tomorrow with my agent telling me it takes up to 4 months which means I'm going to get screwed on more council tax on an empty house.
This all delays my workshop progress as I need my own money.

A day full of reflection for me, 33years since my eldest sister died aged just 32, and final twist of the knife, she was a few months pregnant.
Long walk this afternoon and this evening I will get to the bottom of a decent bottle of wine. RIP Deborah x
Scaf I feel your pain. I too lost my sister 20 years ago now aged 30. She was my best mate and sadly missed. I lost my brother last year aged 54 so only me of the 3 of us left. We had my Mim over on Mother’s Day and the next day I had to drop something in to her. There on the mantle piece was one Mother’s Day card. That really hit me for six that did.

Morning all,
Sorry to hear of a lot of sadness all round.
Mark, I feel your pain with f*wittery from egos that wreck perfectly good business. Apropos nothing, today will be interesting for stuff that I really shouldn't mention in a public forum! Hoping for a good outcome for us but it's really really taking a toll on my mental health right now.
Will we get our new product-line supplier signed up today? Hope so, but let's see....

Morning all.
Lots to do, another ego threatening to de-rail another perfectly good project. Will need to manage this in order that we do not get the same outcome as the last.

Anyone else need a holiday?

Definitely with you on this!
Why must people insist on a temporary ego-fix that will destroy everything for them in the long run when they could, perhaps, instead, work #with# other people constructively and then everyone will be looking great and reaping the rewards?
Muppets. No, that's offensive to Kermit. Replace 'Muppets' with your choice of alternative insult.

Because those with the ego, everything must be about "them" and everyone needs to bow down to them as what they say, goes.

Drives me up the f*cking wall!

Got it in one. Add to it that those people are usually the ones who don't know what they're talking about!
