Morning folks!
Slept badly thanks to trying to recover from an assault on my way home on my bike last night. Not hurt physically.
Reported it to the police and a sergeant will be calling me later and addressing the plain clothes offending officer who revealed the back of his ID after trying to pull me off my cycle.
Soon to take my godson out this morning on our first adventure as just the two of us.
HapPea Saturday!

Trying to make sense of this post....

You are saying someone assaulted you by trying to pull you off your cycle, and you know it was a a plain clothes police officer because you saw the back of his ID?

He claimed to be police and showed the back of ID after assaulting me. I cannot be sure as I didn't confirm ID so there is the possibility it wasn't an officer and was someone claiming to be one. However, I believe he was police.

Does that help?

Yes, think I get it! Sorry to hear about the incident, that does sound bad.

I was pulled over while driving a few years ago. The person came up to my window and flashed a badge and told me off for driving in a bus lane. I pointed out that the bus lane was not active at that time, and asked to see the badge again. It was a very fake 'Metropolitan Police' ID card. I said "You are not a police officer are you?" and he replied (very amusingly, I thought), "Not yet". I told him the penalty for impersonating a police officer was 2 years in prison, and he ran for it.

Well it’s not raining “yet” which is a good start to the day.
Out for coffee and will then take the ebike out for a 20mile ride.
Lunch is booked at out favourite little Greek restaurant, nothing fancy but food is great and very authentic.
I imagine I will be snoozing later this afternoon :D
Dinner with friends this evening, so feels almost normal.

Should have been in Glasgow today for the Scottish cup final but due to local covid restrictions it’s behind closed doors. That’s the second time in 2 years my lad has made a cup final and I have to watch on tv rather than there in person to support him. Hopefully Edinburgh is resounding to the sound of sunshine on Leith later.

Will listen to the game, was thinking if your lad will be playing for Hibs today. For those who know SteveM he's a very tall bloke but his son is even taller!

Meanwhile, I've gutted my kitchen ready for a rewire and replumb then for Dan's mob to install ASHP. The ceiling fitted with large hardboard panels from the 60s and tiled floor to ceiling. Just need to make a few trips to the tip...

the offending wall, almost ready to get attacked with the scabbler!!! I don’t think it will take very long somehow as it is probably 80% detached. All I can think is it must have been part way and when the plasterer skimmed it the water allowed it to go. Quite literally we were sat in there a few weeks ago and you could hear it letting go! Even more odd is that the wall continues upstairs although built 18 years later and that one went as well last year!

Thanks Martin. Would have thought a double penalty save would have been enough but not to be. Back to the bathroom floor rather than celebrating. Good luck with kitchen - that’s quite a project

Imagine my disappointment at the result.

Morning all, p155ing down here so will delay looking at the BMW as Mrs Z broke it again last night but by here description it might be terminal this time "it started running rough and then stopped, now it won't start"

Also need to reattach a gutter to the garage but only when the rain stops

Good day,
Thought I would get ahead and book my return to UK, Day 2 and Day 8 postal tests....
So the 1st 10 providers on the list are sold out....
Gobsmacked to say the least, I guess people who are hoping to book holidays may be limited by the fact they cant get tests when they get back.
I have a receipt for booking mine, but that was from a previous link, when going back into the site, they say they have no tests, so i am not confident.
