Morning all, returning the hire van shortly and then a restful day redistributing the remaining furniture about the house/empty nest.

Have fun all…

Morning all, car washing today and I have 3 to do. I use to enjoy washing cars but since my accident its the one thing that my arms really struggle with, I will be in agony tonight :(

Is this because you have blanked it from your memory like a childhood trauma? ;)
... and like a filthy secret, I keep the fantasy alive in preparation for future adulthood trauma.

You'll look great in XXL lashes.

Anyway, morning, all. Back home, nearly. At least in the right country. Great flight but it could have done with being 5 hours longer. I'm knackered.

Morning, all. Just saw that 10 January...twenty-five years ago...was the debut of The Sopranos. For your binge-watching pleasure, and/or insight into my psychology. Got the looms done; have to work on the accoutrements and heddles, as well as finish two frames. Thankfully only day two of the three-day weekend...why aren't four-day work weeks the norm? Also smoking a pork butt, and will crisp up some brussels sprouts later...

Hello everyone!

What a rollercoaster of a moving weekend! The removals people left the new home at 2:40am having totally cocked up the size of vans and team they needed. They then requested another van, which broke down so had to scramble a local man with a van. We didn't leave our old home until 6pm so couldn't see our new place in the light. Once the first van was unloaded here it had to go back to the old house to collect the garden effects. Utterly ridiculous! That's before we consider the broken bits of houses, furniture and many of our belongings that they have succeeded in causing by lack of care, including significantly scratching up the French polish on my 1928 Bechstein piano for which they didn't bring a trolley to move.

That said, we're in and it's wonderful to finally be in Poole and out of Southampton. I didn't really like Southampton. It's also good to have discovered the heating thermostat and to have turned it up from 10 degrees.

I'm now awaiting the delivery of my effects from my former home in Oxford, that have been in storage, and then it's the broadband installation this afternoon. I'll also be going through many more boxes to see what else has been broken.

HapPea Monday! xXx
