Morning Dublin again today but a nice post Christmas lunch.

A bit of a scare yesterday though, my eyes suddenly, and I mean during lunch, went strange. I got blurred vision at all distances in both eyes. In the morning all fine glasses for close up computer work and no glasses for any other vision but after lunch everything was blurred at all distances. Various-focal glasses helped the distance stuff enough to get home still not right. Over the next few hours all seemed gradually to return to normal and today all seems fine so a bit strange. Booked into opticians tomorrow just in case.

Sorry to hear about the blurry vision. Normally just a Friday night problem!

If it is any reassurance, several years ago I woke up one day with double vision in both eyes. Hurried visit to optician was inconclusive, but it was fine again the next day. Months of vague investigation by the NHS concluded that it was 'one of those things'. Has happened twice more, always fine the next day.

MrsMM says she thinks it was a sort of migraine that just affected the optical part of my brain. (she has experience of regular migraines, I don't)

You are wise to get it checked out promptly, though.

You're doing the right thing. Did you get the kaleidoscopic thing as well, any plus 'blank' spots with no vision at all? That shite needs taking seriously. Look up ocular migraine, like @MarkMas mentioned. My optician reckoned it could be bits of my heart getting stuck in my brain following operations where bits of my heart got destroyed, flake off and go tumbling through the arteries, like in the fantastic journey. Apparently you don't want that kind of thing happening. And then he shrugged. Takes a lot to unsettle my optician. He's South African.

Anyway, morning, you lot. My body's back in the right time zone but missing the warmth of the US's southern coasts. Back hammering away at the buttons today and barking down the phone. Can it be Friday soon? I'd like that. My last two weekends have been spent traveling (with some down time, but still not at home) and I can't fancy a lazy one.

Bizarre not other symptoms, no blind spots, no floaters, no headaches, no changes to look or feel of eyes in fact absolutely nothing else just blurred vision in both eyes. Optician tomorrow.

One theory is the cumulative impact of all those postings on here that I wished I had not seen ;)

Maybe you're just drunk. Don't rule it out.

Morning, all. Like @philw696 it's also 13 degrees...just a different scale. Spent the larger part of last night shuffling between the pens and the hardware store. Got the trough warmers working...had to fiddle a bit to get heat to the duck pond, but everything was resolved by roughly midnight. Then back up at 5a. Courtney heading into the hills to teach a class, and I head back into the salt mines. Hope optician visit goes well @zagatoes30 and mayhaps @Felonious Crud should have whatever you're having to help him unwind...

Morning all. Rained all night here in Morzine in the village. But might have been snow not rain on the mountain. We shall see...

I bumped into the son of a neighbour in a bar last night, which was an amazing / amusing coincidence.
