Why be put off , its just a list of jobs to be done and ticked off , if your not handy with a spanner then this car is probably not for you , if your happier buying from a dealer with all the guarantees then fine , but your seeing and buying this car cheap and as is , do your homework get reports and checks the parts prices , if it ll adds up and your a few quid in then fine ,
Worst case , re the gear selection F1 pump /clutch renew both at around £1500 , complete new fluids and belts service £750 , Pads and discs £500 ,plastic engine cowels and bolts £100
For £3K on top thats having the work done by a reputable indie , Full in and out Valet/Paint correction and wheel refurb £400 , now writing it down like that its just a list of tasks to be done makes it a lot more viable and reassurance for a couple of years
