Throttle Sticking

Still sounds like battery issues to me.

It shouldn't be going flat in 3 days. I can leave my 3200 for weeks and it starts on the button every time.

When my battery was on it's way out it would still start but the electrics would do all kinds of weird things, this is with the battery showing 12.1v before cranking.

"charged it up enough to start it" is not enough!... if you're not seeing 12.5v on the battery before cranking I think you're going to get problems...

The only way you're going to be sure of this is to fully charge the battery and measure the voltage before starting. See if there is a correlation between battery voltage and throttle behaviour.

Your throttle pedal may be a bit voltage sensitive so the two issues are combining to be a big issue.

Cheers Mark
You could be right, the battery has been on trickle charge all day and is only showing 10amps on the gauge. Tomorrow I am going to get the Battery checked first if Ok then look for a drain, (Job for the Auto Lecky)
I am hoping the Battery is at fault because its still under warranty
Cheers

Battery check Fine! So I took it down to those nice men at Emblem who are quite local to me. What that Miles doesn't know about Massers aint worth knowing!! anyway plugged into his computer made an adjustment to the pedometer pressed a few buttons and hey presto it has never run so good and is not registering a voltage discharge......... all for the cost of an hours Labour. Fingers crossed all is good now and I'm very happy. Only a couple of small jobs to do and the old girl will be pretty well uptogether
Thanks to everyone on here for your input

Myles is a legend. Would love to know what he did to the pedal pot to fix this.

Hi all,

Today my 4200 has started to rev high in first when idle.

Is this the same issues as those talked about in this thread?

I do not seem to have lost power etc just as I say high Rev when stationary in first

Thoughts ?
