This may have been covered before but I am wondering on the effects of adding a bit more rubber to the 19" Gransport wheels. The ride is brittle at best and downright awful at worst...I know it's a sportscar etc etc and I should probably go and buy an S Class coupe if I want pillowy ride but I cant help but feel a fatter profile tyre is going to make an enormous difference to the ride quality. I know this could be achieved by going for a smaller wheel but wanted to see if anyone had tried a 40 profile rear and 35 profile front? Understand that the OD will no longer be the same which may throw off the speedo a touch . . . are there any other issues? Cannot foresee rubbing on a stock height setup as there is plenty of room. Perhaps I am dreaming that this may be possible . . . if I am dreaming, has anyone found a way to soften up the bone breaking (esp slow speed) ride on the 19s with a stock 265/30/19 rear and 235/35/19 front? On UK roads it's irksome.
